Thanks for the article and the BTI ad.

1.  BASIC only is not acceptable to Computer Science and I suspect to other
departments that use LOTS.

2.  One language systems can indeed be efficient - e.g. the Business school's
HP system.

3.  I think we should maintain general purpose capabilities.

4.  Would you like an extended discussion of this point with CSD and other faculty?
